I hope, you do not finish reading this.
If you don’t, it has served its purpose and my point had been made.
If you do reach the end, then I hope at least, to have shaken you into action: one writer to another.
Scrolling through articles about writing habits and time management, you might have convinced yourself you are being productive; it will all help you to succeed in the end, to finally finish that novel that you are sure will rocket you to fame and success.
I assure you, it will not.
More still: I say you are in a trap of procrastination.

It is an enticing trap, I know. Perhaps you are taking comfort from the endless stories of fellow writers who are struggling as you are. Or, your eye was drawn to the title promising financial success if you follow the writer’s simple rules. Perhaps, you are simply looking for inspiration; and one article after another, you are buoyed up with enthusiasm and motivation, but can’t seem to tear yourself away from reading just one more.
